Where Winds Meet Version 2.0 introduced Hidden Mountain on 23 July 2026, alongside the Mohist Hill sect, the new Gauntlets weapon, two world bosses and a level-cap increase to 100. The update also opened new campaigns, seasonal progression and a long schedule of events and appearances.
For players in Malaysia, the maintenance window was listed in UTC+8—the same time as Malaysia Time (MYT)—so the announced window was 5:00am to 10:00am on 23 July. The update itself is global; being in Malaysia does not turn a Global game product into a Malaysia-region product.

How to unlock Hidden Mountain
The official overview lists level 32 and completion of Hidden Mountain Main Chapter 2: Haven Astray as the participation requirements for Hidden Mountain. The story route begins earlier with the Bringer of Embers prelude, which requires Kaifeng Main Chapter 1: New Arrival in Kaifeng – The Welcoming Crowd.
Hidden Mountain adds four Oddities—Wicker Ray, Jadesong Cicada, Blackiron Pangolin and Terracotta Boar—plus three Meow Meow’s Treasure modes: Flying Marquis, Cat Dwelling and Cosmic Jade Linkage.
Mohist Hill and the new Gauntlets weapon
Mohist Hill is the new sect tied to the Hidden Mountain storyline. The standard joining route requires level 10 and completion of Haven Astray, although the announcement also mentions exceptional construction work and a Master’s recommendation as alternative routes.
Joining Mohist Hill—or using the sect’s Universal Love shop—unlocks the Heavenwill Gauntlets martial art. Completing Haven Astray also awards the Skygrasp Rope Dart martial art. Both belong to the new Bamboocut: Kite path and are designed for boss fights and Arena play, while still allowing players to mix them with other Martial Arts and Mystic Skills.
Progression, bosses and multiplayer changes
- Solo progression: Solo Mode level 16, Enlightenment, became available and the character level cap increased to 100.
- Gear: Tier 96 gear, tuning and attuning were added, together with gear enhancement levels 56–60.
- Mystic Skills: the growth limit moved to Breakthrough Tier 6, Stage 15.
- World bosses: Ci & Cuo and Ironheart Centipede joined the Hidden Mountain Wulin Journal and Sword Forge challenge routes.
- Campaigns: Dragonscale Tamer is a level 96 five-player Sword Trial, while Carnival Voyage is a level 96 ten-player Hero’s Realm campaign.
- Guild season: S4: Forged Ahead reset several progression systems and returned the Guild War League from 1 August.
Important Version 2.0 event windows
The announcement combined permanent update content with limited-time activities. These are the most useful dates to distinguish; availability should always be checked in-game because several windows have already ended or are close to ending.

Planning Echo Beads or a Battle Pass purchase
Several Version 2.0 appearances were priced in Echo Beads, while the update also included a paid Battle Pass. Decide on the exact item first, confirm that its sale window is still active in-game, and check the displayed price before buying currency. Harmonic Cores and Sound Jades are separate currencies, so an Echo Beads purchase will not cover every cosmetic in the announcement.
The official publisher notes that PlayStation Store Echo Beads are confined to PlayStation Network, while purchases made through other platform channels are not visible on PlayStation Network. If the platform attached to a top-up is unclear, stop and confirm compatibility before paying. SuprimX lists Where Winds Meet direct top-up as a Global product and requires the player’s Where Winds Meet Character ID. Malaysian customers should treat “Global” as the registered product region—not as another name for Malaysia—and verify the Character ID and platform applicability shown at checkout. The official Echo Beads platform notice explains the PlayStation separation; do not proceed if the intended platform cannot be confirmed.
