Bamboocut - Draught is now live in Where Winds Meet, pairing Skystrike Gauntlets with Riven Twinblades around one shared Drunkenness system. Fighting and drinking build Binge points, which deepen the Inebriate state and change how both martial arts attack. The key is not staying on one weapon: the official combat flow builds pressure with the blades, shifts to close-range gauntlets, then returns to the blades for the finish.
How Binge and Inebriate power the Path
The official Bamboocut - Draught developer letter describes Drunkenness as the Path’s core. Drinking during combat builds Binge points, moving the Wanderer through Inebriate states. Deeper Drunkenness changes movement and attacks before opening a high-power burst window.
The practical lesson is to treat Binge as a shared resource rather than two separate weapon meters. Build it while advancing, spend the stronger state at close range, then swap before the momentum disappears.
Skystrike Gauntlets turn feints into a close-range burst
At Inebriate - Tipsy, Skystrike Gauntlets use a staggering gait to disguise the approach, then close distance with punches and kicks. This makes the gauntlets the deceptive half of the Path: the movement looks unstable, but it is setting up close-range pressure.
Nightwick and Tipsylay
Nightwick drops the Wanderer into the Tipsylay state. From the ground, you can spring up to break an opponent’s defence or remain low and answer with sweeping kicks. Read the opponent before choosing the follow-up; Tipsylay is a branch, not one fixed combo.
At Inebriate - Deepdaze, the style leaves the slower feints behind for a direct explosive burst. Build the state first; do not spend the gauntlet’s strongest moment merely to start the approach.
Riven Twinblades keep the pressure moving forward
Riven Twinblades are the more direct half of Bamboocut - Draught. Their rapid movement helps close the gap and build Binge before the gauntlets take over at close range.
Boundvessel rewards connected slashes
The charged heavy attack Boundvessel unleashes repeated slashes. Each connected strike increases the sequence’s attack speed and power, so its value comes from maintaining contact rather than firing it from poor range.
Hero’s Blood changes at Deepdaze
Hero’s Blood dashes through enemy lines while leaving blade energy behind. When triggered during Inebriate - Deepdaze, it releases eight crescent-shaped waves and finishes with a piercing dash that spends the accumulated Binge points and Drunkenness.
The intended Bamboocut weapon-swap loop
- Use Riven Twinblades to close the gap and build Binge.
- Swap to Skystrike Gauntlets at close range.
- Keep fighting and drinking until Drunkenness reaches its stronger state.
- Release the gauntlet burst, then return to the blades.
- Use the enhanced blade pressure before Drunkenness recedes, then begin the build again.
This is the official conceptual loop, not a guaranteed best build for every encounter. Practise the resource timing and swap rhythm before adding equipment, Inner Ways or encounter-specific changes that the developer letter does not detail.
Buy cosmetics only after testing the free Path
Bamboocut - Draught is live gameplay content; the developer letter does not say that Echo Beads, a pass or another purchase is required to use it. Test both martial arts first and decide whether the combat style is one you actually want to match with a cosmetic.
SuprimX’s Where Winds Meet product lists Echo Beads for selected outfits, weapon skins, mount appearances and martial-arts effects. Check the exact cosmetic and displayed Echo Beads cost in your Global account, subtract your existing balance, and only then top up Where Winds Meet Echo Beads for that verified cosmetic. The purchase changes appearance, not access to the Path or its combat strength.
Compare the pass and monthly choice before buying
The same Where Winds Meet product page also lists Monthly Pass, Elite Battle Pass and Premium Battle Pass options. These are different purchase decisions from buying Echo Beads for one selected cosmetic. Open the live pass pages first and compare their current rewards, duration and your likely play time; do not assume the Path announcement confirms any pass reward.
After choosing the exact option, confirm the Global game edition and copy the intended account’s Character ID. When the live offer and account details match, buy your chosen Where Winds Meet pass or monthly option from SuprimX. Skip the purchase if the current rewards do not fit how you plan to play.
