Where Winds Meet Version 2.1 received a non-disruptive maintenance update on 20 August 2026 from 5:00am to 10:00am Malaysia time (MYT). The official August 20 patch notes cover Build Mode controls, Vernal Umbrella Attunement changes and 11 fixes across quests, combat and Legend mode.
The same notes also confirm three player-facing corrections: two Celestial Echo display problems did not change accumulated Bliss Points or actual draw rewards, while the Heaven's Plea makeup from Sweetened Summer was fixed so it could be used after acquisition.
Maintenance timing and player impact
The update window was scheduled for 5:00am to 10:00am MYT on 20 August. It was designed to be non-disruptive, so players could remain logged in, although some features and modes could be temporarily unavailable and the timing could change with maintenance conditions.
Players checking the notes after the update should focus on whether their issue appears in the confirmed fix list. The update does not announce compensation, new draw odds or a change to the quantity of rewards.
Build Mode and Vernal Umbrella changes
- Camera controls: Free Camera and Bird's-Eye Camera gained pinch-to-zoom on touchscreens and mouse-wheel zoom.
- Controller controls: holding LB or RB now supports continuous camera adjustment and building rotation.
- Homestead dispatch: the Retainer candidate list now presents status information more clearly.
- Vernal Umbrella: on Tier 96 and higher gear, the Special Skill and Charged Skill damage-boost Attunement affixes merge into Frequent Projectile DMG Boost, which applies to Unfading Flower and Spring Away. A Light/Heavy Attack & Varied Combo DMG Boost affix is also added.
Inherited Tier 91 Vernal Umbrella affixes carry over into Frequent Projectile DMG Boost, while existing Tier 96-and-higher Attunements update automatically. The official notes say this does not change the random appearance rate of affixes.
Celestial Echo and Sweetened Summer fixes
The Celestial Echo corrections are important for anyone deciding whether to continue a draw:
- An incorrect Bliss Points display did not affect the player's actual accumulated progress.
- Incorrect buff food and buff scroll entries in the Rare Rewards preview did not affect the rewards actually received.
- Heaven's Plea makeup from the Sweetened Summer event was fixed so it could be used after acquisition.
In other words, the official record describes visual or usability fixes rather than a reset of Bliss Points or a reroll of past rewards. Check the value stored on the account before making another draw decision.
Quest, combat and mode fixes
The remaining fixes address Guardian Palm animation stutter at Rank 3, Food Enhancement applying to only one buff, slow knockdown recovery that blocked rolling, and the Deserved Pack accessory disappearing after it was claimed.
Quest progression fixes cover A Flourishing Legacy co-op completion, its missing quest item and Rising Beyond failing to trigger afterward. The patch also corrects missing Ghostly Steps - Umbra afterimages, a Strategic Sword blink when cancelling a charged heavy attack, an Everspring Umbrella positioning problem near arena edges and unexpected difficulty switching after entering Legend mode.

Where Winds Meet's official account-binding FAQ says characters, items, top-ups, premium currency and progress are shared across Xbox, PC, PlayStation and mobile when the same bound account is used. Xbox players who already have progress elsewhere must bind that existing account before creating a new Xbox character.
