Scott Pilgrim EX: Back in the Band adds Stephen Stills, Kim Pine and Knives Chau as playable fighters, completing the Sex Bob-omb lineup with three deliberately different combat rhythms. The official PlayStation feature explains how Tribute Games built their silhouettes, idle poses and attacks to communicate personality before a fight even begins.
Malaysia players can buy the add-on for PS5 or PS4. When checked on August 31, both official Malaysia Store listings showed RM20.38. The add-on requires Scott Pilgrim EX on the matching platform, so confirm the base game, console version, account region and existing wallet balance before spending.
Three new fighters and what changes
Stephen Stills is designed as an aggressive front-line fighter who pressures enemies with guitar attacks and feedback. Kim Pine mixes heavy drumstick strikes with forceful percussion-based combos. Knives Chau is the quickest of the three, using her scarf, rapid knife strikes, shadow techniques and hit-and-run movement to enter and leave danger quickly.
The expansion also adds new assist characters, moves, combos and alternate character palettes. Tribute Games says its animation process starts with readable silhouettes and posture, then uses small expressions and secondary motion to make each fighter recognisable on the character-select screen.
Malaysia Store price and platform check
The official Malaysia Store lists the PS5 add-on and PS4 add-on separately at RM20.38 each as of August 31. Buy the version that matches the base game in your library; owning one console version should not be treated as proof that the other add-on will work.
The base Scott Pilgrim EX listing shows separate PS5 and PS4 editions at RM131.44 each. The add-on does not include the base game. If you already own the correct version, skip a second base-game purchase and compare only the DLC price with your current MY wallet balance.
Buy the base game only if you do not own it
Open Game Library on the intended Malaysia account and identify whether Scott Pilgrim EX is owned for PS5 or PS4. If it is not, open the matching base-game listing and verify its live RM total before choosing a wallet amount.
After confirming the account region, console version and base-game checkout total, buy a PlayStation Network Card (MY) on SuprimX to fund the Scott Pilgrim EX base game you selected. Existing owners do not need this base-game step to access a separately purchased matching add-on.
Redeem on the matching Malaysia account
PlayStation's Malaysia voucher guide says Store codes contain 12 digits and must match the account region. Redeem a Malaysia card only on the Malaysia account that owns or will buy the base game; wallet credit and content cannot be moved between accounts.
On the web Store, choose Redeem Code from the profile menu. On PS5, open PlayStation Store and choose More > Redeem Code. For a child account, the family manager must redeem a wallet top-up and can then control the child's spending limit.
Top up only the DLC wallet shortfall
Use the correct PS5 or PS4 add-on page as the final checkout source. Subtract the existing MY wallet balance from the live RM total, and do not use a price shown by another region's Store. The DLC is paid content; the official trailer and character information do not require a purchase.
Once the intended account, base-game ownership, platform and remaining RM amount are verified, top up the exact remaining PlayStation wallet amount with a PlayStation Network Card (MY) from SuprimX.
