The official Malaysia Store listing marks all three paid editions as PS5 preorders and PS5 Pro Enhanced. It also states that offline play, one player and Remote Play are supported, while in-game purchases are optional.
The Standard Edition preorder bonuses are the Lion Dog charm and Sealed Curse sword appearance. The charm affects Musashi's abilities, while the sword appearance is cosmetic. PlayStation notes that preorder bonuses may become available after launch, so they should not be treated as permanently exclusive.
What the final preview shows after the demo
The preview begins after Musashi's duel with Sasaki Ganryu at Kiyomizu-dera Temple. He is transported to the Oni Refuge, an otherworldly area of floating islands and ruins where the Genma invade the sacred landscape.
Musashi finds the Oni Bow there. It gives him a ranged answer to Genma archers, activates distant traps and solves environmental puzzles. The preview later shows it severing a boss from a power source, so the weapon is part of both exploration and combat rather than a simple damage option.
Back in Kyoto, Rokudo Chinno-ji Temple becomes the group's base of operations. Much of the city is initially blocked by demonic structures and toxic fog. Sealing Genma rifts and gaining Oni Strength opens new routes instead of presenting Kyoto as fully accessible from the start.
How combat, souls and Kyoto progression connect
Defeated Genma release souls that Musashi can absorb to upgrade gear and unlock abilities. The Daidara encounter changes the timing: the giant can consume uncollected souls, forcing players to choose between attacking and securing the resource before it is lost.
Rasho-gan, a multi-armed monster at Yasui Konpiragu Shrine, tests the wider combat toolkit by throwing trees, boulders and buildings. Beating that sequence rewards Oni Strength, which Musashi uses to remove demonic barriers around Kyoto.
The toxic fog comes from hostile plants. Clearing them expands the explorable city, but the Byakue fight interrupts the process. The preview says fewer, heavier blows can control the blood-covered creature more effectively than relying only on rapid attacks.
These encounters show a connected loop: fight Genma, secure souls, improve Musashi, earn traversal power and reopen Kyoto. The city is larger than the earlier mission spaces, but progress remains gated by story objectives and combat victories.

Start with the free demo. If the sword timing, soul management and level structure suit you, compare only the extras you actually want. Standard is the lowest-cost route to the full game; Deluxe and Premium Deluxe add their named kits, but the Malaysia Store summary does not itemise every kit component on the Standard product page.
