PlayStation's 6 August announcement confirms that Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites is a free update for PS4 and PS5. It adds a new story mission, deeper sandbox settings, free unlocks and 4K at 60 FPS on PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Malaysian players still need access to the base game. The Malaysia PlayStation Store lists Wildlands at RM209 and the Definitive Edition at RM429, while PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium members can use the subscription catalogue route described by PlayStation.

The official Malaysia Store listing for Ghost Recon Wildlands is the regional reference for the current RM209 base-game price. Last Rites itself is not a paid DLC purchase.
The separate Last Rites Gift Pack is listed at RM0 for PlayStation Plus Essential. It contains the La Llorona Iconic Skin, P416 Micteca and 4-SHUR Blue Leader Sunglasses; it should not be confused with access to the full game.
What changes on PS5 and in the sandbox
The headline technical change is 4K and 60 FPS on PS5 and PS5 Pro. The update also adds Ghost Parameters for instant death or limitless revives, one or two primary weapons, and whether unused ammunition is kept after reloading.
World and Session Settings control the weather, time of day, alarms, jammers and enemy patrol rate. Co-op groups can enable friendly fire, while expanded HUD, UI and difficulty controls include enemy perception, endurance and vehicle breakability.
Last Rites story, unlocks and returning content
The new mission can be started immediately. It sends the Ghosts into a darker area of Bolivia controlled by Los Penitentes, a cult led by La Llorona. The mission begins as a familiar incursion before documents, recordings and encounters reveal the antagonist's history and motives.
Completing Last Rites unlocks a mystery Operator Skin. Ubisoft also unlocked weapons, equipment, previously unavailable camouflage, older challenge rewards and Ghost War PvP classes for free in the in-game store.
Predator content returns with the update as well. That returning crossover is separate from the Last Rites mission and from the three-item PlayStation Plus Gift Pack.
Which access route makes sense
Current owners only need the free update. New players should first check whether an active PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription already provides Wildlands. Buy the Standard game when the goal is simply to play the base campaign and Last Rites; choose Definitive only when the Season Pass, Year 2 Pass and included packs justify the higher price.
If the Malaysia Store purchase is the right route, confirm the account region and wallet balance before paying. After choosing the RM209 Standard game or RM429 Definitive Edition, you can add only the MYR PlayStation wallet shortfall needed to access Last Rites.
