The upgrade listing shows October 1 at 16:00 UTC, which is midnight MYT on October 2. The new content requires patch v2.0 or later, an internet connection and a PlayStation account to download.
Jin Sakai joins the Most Wanted roster
PlayStation’s Jin Sakai reveal confirms four fighters: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato and Jin. Atsu is the starting character; the others are unlocked through play. Jin retains his four sword stances, Dance of Wrath and Ghost Stance. Buying access does not mean every fighter starts unlocked.
Already own Ghost of Yōtei? Check the upgrade
The Malaysia Complete Edition Upgrade listing shows RM60.11 and includes Most Wanted, Echoes of Sekigahara and the listed Digital Deluxe extras. It is the add-on route for an existing copy, rather than another purchase of the full game.
If you bought Digital Deluxe on PlayStation Store, the listing says you will see a 20% preorder discount. Sign into the owning account and check the actual offer before choosing a voucher amount. Do not assume that discount applies to every edition or every account.
For a Malaysia account, subtract your current MYR wallet balance from the confirmed upgrade total. Then buy PlayStation Network Card (MY) for your upgrade balance on SuprimX, choosing credit around that shortfall instead of budgeting for the RM299 game again.
Buying Ghost of Yōtei for the first time
The Malaysia digital Complete Edition costs RM299. It includes the base game, Legends and the listed bonus items, with Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara becoming available through the October update. Legends online multiplayer requires PlayStation Plus, sold separately; Most Wanted is a single-player mode.
The store’s purchase offer ends September 30, 2026 and provides an early unlock of Sakai Armour. It is not described as permanently exclusive: the announcement also identifies a gameplay unlock through Most Wanted.
Once you have confirmed you need the full digital game and your account is Malaysian, buy PlayStation Network Card (MY) for the complete digital game on SuprimX. Deduct any existing wallet credit from RM299 before selecting denominations. PlayStation Store credit pays for digital store content; it does not buy the physical disc.
Check your Malaysia account before redeeming
Being in Malaysia does not make an overseas PlayStation account compatible with a Malaysia card. Use these checks before committing wallet funds:
- Confirm the account region. Follow PlayStation’s country and region check: Account Management → Your Information → Edit Residential Address. The region cannot be changed after account creation.
- Check an owned disc before buying the upgrade. PlayStation says a disc game and its add-on must match by country or region. Check the box’s licence details or ask the retailer; do not assume an imported copy matches the Malaysia store.
- Redeem to the correct account. Under PlayStation’s voucher rules, the voucher and account regions must match. On the web store, open your profile, choose Redeem Code, enter the 12-digit code and select Continue. Funds cannot be transferred between accounts.
- Review the edition and final total. Confirm the upgrade or full-game name again before completing the PlayStation Store purchase. For a child account, wallet top-up vouchers belong on the family manager’s account, with an appropriate spending limit.
How Most Wanted runs work
Choose a bounty, survive enemy waves and minibosses, then face its boss. Perks shape each run; earned Mon buys persistent techniques, weapon upgrades, charms and character unlocks. Cosmetics earned here also unlock in the main game. No real-money price for Mon is announced.
What Echoes of Sekigahara adds
The story expansion follows Atsu and Nagato across past and present, including the Battle of Sekigahara and Ashoro Foothills. It adds enemies, heavy weapons, mythic tales, armour and cosmetics. This is separate from Most Wanted’s repeatable survival runs.
What the free October 2 patch includes
Existing owners receive Beauty of Yōtei, more Watanabe Mode tracks, an option to separate armour appearance from stats, and a high-contrast accessibility option. These patch features do not require the Complete Edition upgrade or a wallet top-up.
