The Identity V × Nine-Colored Deer crossover runs from August 20 after the update until September 20, 2026 at 23:59. It combines free check-in, battle-task and mural rewards with a limited Priestess package priced at 2,688 Echoes. The official August 20 maintenance update supplies the event mechanics, prices and availability wording below.
The package is a separate purchase from the free event path. Complete the no-purchase tasks first, then compare the package with the individual costume and accessory only if those paid items are actually wanted.
Free Nine-Colored Deer rewards
The Heart-Revealing Mirror awards the Nine-Colored Deer: Gilt portrait after seven daily check-ins. From September 14 at 00:00, a missed check-in can be made up for 10 Inspirations.
Battle tasks award the Nine-Colored Deer: Mineral portrait frame, Nine-Colored Deer graffiti, Bestow emote and other items. Sacred Deer Scroll unlocks three mural chapters day by day; completing their four-panel arrangements adds rewards including the Nine-Colored Deer: Gilt portrait frame, Nine-Colored Deer: Mineral portrait and Snake Catcher: Seek Forgiveness graffiti.
Players can also publish a custom mural in the Sharing Lobby. Receiving more than 20 Likes during the event awards the Nine-Colored Mural label. None of these listed task rewards requires the crossover package.
Nine-Colored Deer package versus separate items
- Crossover package: 2,688 Echoes, reduced from 3,956 Echoes. It includes Priestess — Nine-Colored Deer and Priestess — Divine Deer.
- Costume alone: Priestess — Nine-Colored Deer costs 2,888 Echoes.
- Accessory alone: Priestess — Divine Deer costs 1,068 Echoes and is Echoes-only.
During the stated window, the package costs 1,268 fewer Echoes than buying both items separately. It is also 200 Echoes below the costume's standalone price while adding the accessory. That comparison matters only for a player who wants the included items; the free event rewards remain available without buying them.
The publisher lists package availability through September 20 at 23:59 but does not label the time zone beside that event end. Use the in-game countdown as the final deadline instead of assuming it follows Malaysia time.
Other major August 20 additions
The update also opened Nightmare difficulty for A Bringer of Doom, including a new Basement area, an additional ending and a four-stage Doom Reckoning system. New Anomalies, Classics, an item, a class and the Metaphor Codex progression system were added alongside side quests A Bringer of Doom II and III.

Check the account and server before buying Echoes
The registered Identity V product is Global, but its checkout still requires both a User ID and a Game Server selection such as Asia or NA / EU. Malaysia is the reader market, not an automatic server value. Check the server shown on the intended Identity V account, copy its User ID exactly and compare the live Echoes balance with the chosen item cost.
If the package or a separate item leaves a confirmed Echoes shortfall, top up Identity V Echoes for the correct User ID and server. Do not top up merely to claim the free check-in, task or mural rewards.
