Identity V's August 27, 2026 update adds a new Copycat Game manor map, two reward events and two separate Echo purchase decisions. For players in Malaysia, server maintenance begins at 8:00 MYT, the weekly update becomes available after 10:30 MYT, and accounts not yet updated may be forced to reconnect after 11:00 MYT. These times come from the publisher's UTC+8 schedule in the official August 27 Identity V update notice.
The update page is in Japanese and warns that item or skill names in the notice can differ from the live game. Treat the in-game English names, prices and countdowns as final before spending Echoes.
August 27 maintenance times in Malaysia
- 8:00 MYT: server maintenance begins. Most modes and features remain available, but Ranked Mode closes during maintenance; matches already underway are not affected.
- After 10:30 MYT: close and restart the client to obtain the weekly update. The publisher says this may be delayed if problems occur.
- After 11:00 MYT: players still on the older version may be logged out for the server's brief forced update, then must restart the client.
Malaysia uses UTC+8, so the publisher's maintenance times convert directly to MYT without an hour change.
What the new Copycat Game manor map adds
The new map introduces a day-and-night system. Detectives can double their deduction-count reward by completing deduction requirements at night, while Copycats can trigger certain time-limited incidents according to the time of day.
Copycats and the Detective faction's Locksmith can enter lockers. Copycats with an instant-elimination ability can target a player from inside, while the Locksmith can temporarily lock a locker. Copycats also receive hidden letter points for leaving and reading secret messages.
The Hunter Nightmare appears on the map and teleports players who touch him to a random manor location through a raven. Copycats can drop selected hanging lights, while the Mask Carnival incident makes everyone look alike and hides player numbers. At night, Party Drink requires players to complete a designated task before they can satisfy deduction requirements.
Free events and the 688-Echo costume track
During the Copycat Game costume event, completing tasks awards free rewards such as graffiti. Spending 688 Echoes immediately unlocks an A-rarity Weeping Clown costume and opens a paid reward track that includes stamps, a universal special-action unlock card and 100 Inspirations. The event runs from August 27 after maintenance through September 16 at 23:59.
A separate seasonal event during the same window awards themed portraits and portrait frames for completing specified tasks. Those rewards are presented as event-task rewards, not as part of the 688-Echo track. Because the publisher does not label the event deadline's time zone, use the live in-game countdown for the final Malaysia deadline.
Limited Wu Chang package and individual Echo prices
- Limited Wu Chang package: 2,688 Echoes, reduced by 31% from the listed 3,956-Echo price. It contains one S-rarity costume and one A-rarity accessory.
- S-rarity costume alone: 2,888 Echoes or 12,888 Fragments.
- A-rarity accessory alone: 1,068 Echoes or 3,888 Fragments.
The two items cost 3,956 Echoes when bought separately, so the discounted package is 1,268 Echoes lower during its listed sale window. The package is also 200 Echoes below the standalone costume price while adding the accessory. The sale runs from August 27 after maintenance through September 23 at 23:59, but the page does not label that end time with a zone.
Fragments provide a no-Echo alternative for either individual item. Compare the live client options with the Echo and Fragment balances already on the account before choosing the package.
Ranked and quality-of-life changes
The new Hunter Heart Beast enters Ranked Mode with reductions to several chase and attack values. The update also adds more scoring triggers, lets players search custom-map content by map name, creator or room, and expands random outfit and saved-set options. A long list of character, map and mode fixes accompanies those changes.
Check the account and server before buying Echoes
The SuprimX Identity V product is registered as Global, but checkout requires the intended User ID and a Game Server choice of Asia or NA / EU. Malaysia is the reader location, not an automatic server selection. Confirm the target item in the live client, subtract the account's current Echo balance, then copy the User ID and server exactly.
If a chosen paid item leaves a confirmed shortfall, top up only the missing Identity V Echoes for the correct User ID and server. No Echo purchase is needed for the listed free task rewards.
