Identity V's August 13, 2026 update introduced the Hunter Herztier, Season 43 Essence 3, three Qixi S-rarity costumes and a large set of event and room changes. For Malaysia, the hotfix began at 8:00 MYT. The publisher also granted ten Season 43 Essence 3 draws as a login reward, separate from every paid package listed in the official Identity V August 13 update.
The shop decisions are unusually clear: each Qixi S-rarity costume has an Echo price and a Fragment alternative, while the ten-draw Season Essence package has its own Echo cost. Check the live in-game countdown and balance before spending because the notice gives several different availability windows.
August 13 hotfix times in Malaysia
- 8:00 MYT: the hotfix began. Quick Match, Custom Mode, Events and Logic Path remained available, but entry to Ranked Match closed. Ranked matches already in progress were not affected.
- After 10:30 MYT: players had to exit and restart the client to install the latest patch. The publisher said this stage could be postponed if issues arose.
- After 11:00 MYT: clients still using the older version could be forced off the server, after which players could restart and return on the new patch.
Malaysia uses UTC+8, so the official times convert directly to MYT without changing the hour.
Season 43 Essence 3 and the free 10-draw reward
Season 43 Essence 3 features the S-rarity Fianna costume for Herztier, the A-rarity Sinann costume for Perfumer and the A-rarity Uaithne costume for Composer. The official milestone rewards let players select either the Sinann or Uaithne portrait at 80 or 130 draws, while the Fianna portrait is awarded at 180 draws.
The update notice tells players to log in for ten Season 43 Essence 3 draws. Those ten draws are free and do not require an Echo purchase. Separately, the shop lists a package containing another ten Season 43 Essence 3 draws for 576 Echoes, limited to three purchases and available until the September 10 maintenance.
After accounting for the free ten draws and the Inspirations already on the account, players who deliberately choose the extra package can buy Identity V Echoes for the optional 576-Echo Essence 3 package on SuprimX.
How Herztier changes the chase
Herztier normally stays in Human Form and can sense Survivors within a distance that varies from 36 to 48 metres. Attacking, using an ability or breaking a pallet changes him into Beast Form for eight seconds.
His normal attack has two linked stages. Pounce sends Herztier upward before he attacks on the way down; that first stage deals no damage. A follow-up Intercept within 4.5 seconds deals half of normal-attack damage. Shred or Lunge hits place Mark of Prey for 40 seconds, allowing later Shred or Lunge attacks to deal an additional half of normal-attack damage.
Lunge covers seven metres on a press or up to 14 metres when charged, and it can be used again within five seconds. At first Presence, Heightened Senses detects nearby Survivors and leaves trails. Stepping on a trail boosts movement speed by 8% for ten seconds, speeds up Lunge and Pounce, and cuts six seconds from Lunge's cooldown.
Qixi costumes, packages and Echo alternatives
The Qixi shop lists three S-rarity costumes at the same direct price: Soul Weaver's Nameless Pursuer, Night Watch's Voiceless Rift and the Knight's Wordless Exile each cost 2,888 Echoes or 12,888 Fragments. Their listed window runs from August 13 after maintenance through September 9 at 23:59.
Fragments are a no-Echo alternative for all three costumes. Compare that balance first, then check the character and costume name in the live client before choosing a paid route.
- Anonymous Sentiment Package: 328 Echoes for a portrait frame, 100 Spyglasses and 288 Fragments.
- Fragment Package: 160 Echoes for 1,888 Fragments, limited to one purchase.
- Summer Fragment Package: 500 Echoes for 4,888 Fragments, limited to one purchase.
The notice also lists furniture bought with Echoes or Clues, discounted rooms, returning costumes and accessories, and champion packages. These have different currencies and end dates, so one headline balance cannot safely represent every shop choice.
Free events and room-building changes
Vow of Silence unfolded across six daily story chapters and awarded Withered Buds from stories, minigames and matches. The listed rewards included a Captive Heart portrait and event stickers. That event ran through August 26, while the returning Dream Invitation public map was listed until before the August 27 maintenance.
Ten Days of Memories returned with check-ins, quizzes and matches. Character and story choices changed the order of rewards, not their final types or quantities. Duplicate emotes converted into 288 Fragments, while duplicate graffiti converted into 30 Clues.
The room editor gained furniture sets, batch movement and rotation, partial preset generation, layout browsing and shareable Design Codes. Those tools are update features rather than paid-event access, and the article's Echo links are not required to use them.
Check your User ID and server before buying Echoes
The SuprimX Identity V page is marked Global, but checkout still requires the intended User ID and a server choice of Asia or NA / EU. Living in Malaysia does not automatically identify the game server. Open the target account, verify its server and copy the User ID exactly before payment.
Choose the costume or package in the live client, use any free draws, Inspirations, Fragments or Clues that apply, then subtract the Echo balance already held. For a confirmed remainder, top up the exact Identity V Echo shortfall on SuprimX for the correct User ID and server.
