Identity V's official 12 August update notice schedules server maintenance for 13 August 2026 at 08:00 UTC+8, which is also 08:00 in Malaysia. The update introduces Emil as a new Hunter, opens Season 43 Essence 3, launches several story and Manor events, and adds limited costumes and packs priced in Echoes.
Most modes remain available during maintenance, but Ranked is closed. Players can restart the client after 10:30 UTC+8 to obtain the update; accounts still on the old version may be logged out during the 11:00 instant update. Both times may move if maintenance is extended.

How Emil's new Hunter kit works
Emil normally stays in human form and can detect Survivors within a band between 36 and 48 metres. Using an ability, making a normal attack or breaking a pallet changes him into beast form for eight seconds.
His normal pounce has two stages. The first leap does not deal damage; a second claw attack used within 4.5 seconds deals half of a normal attack. A successful pounce or Pursuit also applies a 40-second Prey Mark. Later marked hits add half-attack damage, and the mark clears after two activations.
Pursuit has a 14-second cooldown and dashes seven metres when tapped. Holding it charges a longer dash of up to 14 metres, and a second Pursuit can be used within five seconds of the first. Track has a 45-second cooldown and detects Survivors within 30 metres. Detected targets leave up to three traces; stepping on one raises movement speed by 8% for 10 seconds, strengthens pounce and Pursuit, and reduces Pursuit's cooldown by six seconds.
At the second ability tier, Prey Mark can activate three times instead of two. These numbers explain the launch kit, but they do not establish a final competitive ranking for the Hunter.
Season 43 Essence 3 rewards
Logging in after the update grants 10 Season 43 Essence 3. The Essence adds a UR costume for Emil's new Hunter identity and SSR costumes for Perfumer and Composer. The Japanese announcement names the costumes Fenian, Sinan and Ouaisne respectively; English-client spellings may differ.
At 80 and 130 draws, players can choose one of the two listed Perfumer or Composer icons. Reaching 180 draws awards the Emil Hunter icon. These are draw-count rewards, not a promise that a costume will appear at those exact counts.
Story, Manor and public-map events
The Silent Vow event runs from maintenance end through 26 August at 23:59. Its story opens across six days. Reading chapters, completing story mini-games and playing daily matches awards event coins that unlock an icon and emotes at stated milestones.
The Manor benefit event runs through 9 September. Completing the first login task awards one SSR furniture item and two SR furniture items; finishing all tasks adds 10 SSR Notes and 2,000 Manor Melodies. A separate Manor event shop offers selected permanent SSR furniture for 1,000 Melodies each.
The returning 10 Days of Memories story also ends on 9 September. Its Meeting stage opens after maintenance, Three-Day Plan opens on 20 August, and Escape opens on 22 August. Choosing Psychologist or Patient changes the order in which rewards are received, not the final reward set.
The Invitation to Dreams public map returns until maintenance on 27 August. It remains open around the clock, with hourly fireworks between 19:00 and 24:00 UTC+8 from 13 through 26 August.

Several costumes and furniture items also accept Fragments, Clues or other event currency, so compare the alternative before using Echoes. The free login Essences and event-task rewards do not require a top-up.
If you decide on an Echo-only item, confirm the live client price, subtract your current balance, then check your Identity V User ID and select the correct Asia or NA / EU server on the SuprimX Identity V Echoes top-up page. SuprimX registers this as a Global Direct Top-Up product; the server choice still matters for delivery.
What the update does not confirm
The notice does not provide English-client localisations for every event and costume name, a guaranteed Essence costume draw count, or an exchange rate between Echoes and MYR. It also does not say that all server versions use the same shop inventory. Treat your in-game event page and shop on the selected server as the final check.
