Wild Rift Patch 7.2c strengthens Cho’Gath and Jinx, reduces the power of seven other champions, rebalances several boots and items, and makes Elemental Dragons and Dragon Souls more rewarding. Riot Games published the update on 12 August 2026 at 5:00pm Malaysia time.
The patch also removes the early Baron Lane minion-damage reduction that enabled long wave freezes. The update is free to play and does not require Wild Cores. Players who want every raw value can read Riot’s full Wild Rift Patch 7.2c notes.
Wild Rift 7.2c changes at a glance
| Area | Main change | Practical takeaway |
|---|---|---|
| Direct buffs | Cho’Gath gains more damage and a shorter Feast cooldown; Jinx gains base Attack Damage and a stronger Get Excited! reset. | Both champions should feel more threatening when their core conditions are met. |
| Champion reductions | Nilah, Leona, Rumble, Nasus, Ryze, Warwick and Kog’Maw lose power in specific parts of their kits. | Recheck familiar damage, durability and cooldown expectations before committing. |
| Boots and items | Selected Tier 2 boots improve while several Tier 3 upgrades lose stats; four completed items receive targeted changes. | Do not rely on an old automatic upgrade path without comparing the new trade-offs. |
| Objectives | Infernal, Mountain and Ocean Dragon rewards become stronger. | Dragon control can produce a larger permanent or Soul advantage. |
| Baron Lane | Pre-6:00 minions no longer deal reduced damage to one another. | Extended freezes should be harder to hold, so wave timing needs reassessment. |
| AAA ARAM | Several lower-pick champions receive shorter cooldowns, lower resource costs or mode-specific modifiers. | Previously overlooked choices may offer more frequent utility in this mode. |
Champion buffs and nerfs
Cho’Gath gets stronger damage and more Feast access
Vorpal Spikes now has higher base damage at every rank, stronger maximum-health scaling and a larger bonus per Feast stack. Feast’s cooldown falls from 80/70/60 seconds to 70/60/50 seconds, while its bonus-health-to-damage ratio rises from 8% to 10%. This is a direct buff to Cho’Gath’s scaling and teamfight threat.
Jinx receives a cleaner early lane and stronger resets
Jinx’s base Attack Damage increases from 54 to 58. The Attack Speed granted by Get Excited! rises from 12% to 25%, giving her a more meaningful reward after helping take down an enemy champion, epic monster or structure.
Nilah loses critical scaling and ultimate damage
Formless Blade converts less Critical Rate into Armor Penetration, dropping from 35% to 28%. Apotheosis also receives a steep Bonus Attack Damage ratio reduction, from 140% to 50%, with lower damage at ranks two and three. Nilah players should not assume the same late-game burst from an unchanged build.
Leona trades early durability for faster Eclipse casts
Leona starts with less Health and Armor, although her Health growth improves. Eclipse has a one-second shorter cooldown at every rank but grants 10 less Armor and Magic Resistance. The result is a weaker early lane rather than a simple across-the-board nerf.
Rumble is pushed towards Ability Power builds
Rumble loses some base Health and raw percentage-health damage, while several Ability Power ratios improve. Scrap Shield gains higher flat shielding but lower maximum-health scaling. Players should treat this as a power shift towards Ability Power investment, not as a universal reduction.
Nasus has more punishable windows
Nasus’s base Armor falls from 46 to 40. Fury of the Sands moves from a 75/70/65-second cooldown to 90/80/70 seconds, giving opponents longer windows to fight or pressure the map while his ultimate is unavailable.
Ryze loses early combat durability and Rune Prison damage
Ryze’s base Health drops from 660 to 630 and his base Armor from 40 to 37. Rune Prison now deals less base damage and has lower Ability Power and bonus-Mana ratios, making early punishment more realistic before he reaches his scaling points.
Warwick’s picks become less frequent and less damaging
Infinite Duress gains 20 seconds of cooldown at every rank, moving to 100/90/80 seconds. Its base damage also falls from 125/300/475 to 100/275/450. Track that longer window before contesting an isolated target.
Kog’Maw’s artillery has tighter limits
Living Artillery costs more Mana across repeated casts, loses one unit of range at every rank and deals 20 less base damage. AP Kog’Maw can still pressure from distance, but sustained zoning now carries a higher resource cost and slightly more exposure.
Item changes reshape boots and defensive choices
Patch 7.2c narrows the power gap between Tier 2 boots and their upgraded forms. Berserker’s Greaves rise from 30% to 35% Attack Speed, Mercury’s Treads double their Tenacity from 15% to 30%, and Plated Steelcaps increase their damage reduction from 6% to 10%.
The trade-off arrives in several Tier 3 upgrades: Gunmetal Greaves provide less Noxian Gait movement speed, Chainlaced Crushers and Armored Advance each lose 5 resistance, and Spellslinger’s Shoes lose 5 Ability Power while Big Bully true damage falls from 22 to 18.
- Sunfire Aegis: Health falls from 425 to 350, Armor doubles from 20 to 40, and the build path changes. It becomes a more specialised anti-physical-damage option.
- Stridebreaker: Attack Speed rises from 15% to 25%.
- Mikael’s Blessing: healing and shielding value rises from 6% to 9%, while Purify’s cooldown falls from 90 to 75 seconds.
- Kaenic Rookern: Magic Resistance rises from 75 to 80; Magebane’s flat shield drops, but its maximum-Health ratio increases from 10% to 14%.
Dragon buffs and the Baron Lane freeze change
Infernal Dragon now grants 4% Attack Damage and Ability Power instead of 3%. Its Dragon Soul adaptive damage increases to 180 plus 35% Bonus Attack Damage and 15% Ability Power. Mountain Dragon Soul’s shield rises from 260 to 350.
Ocean Dragon restores 2.8% missing Health every five seconds instead of 2%. Its Soul healing also increases across the base value and every scaling ratio. These are objective rewards, not changes to the difficulty of taking each Dragon, so teams still need vision, timing and a secure finish.
Before 6:00, Baron Lane minions no longer reduce damage taken from other minions. A wave left alone should therefore resolve more naturally. Baron laners should watch the first few waves rather than copy an old freeze timing from memory.
AAA ARAM changes reward more frequent utility
AAA ARAM cuts cooldowns and Mana costs for selected abilities on Bard, Nocturne, Nunu & Willump, Annie, Gnar, Zilean, Karma, Orianna, Skarner and Jarvan IV. Olaf, Riven, Amumu, Viego and Xin Zhao take less damage, while Zoe deals more. Shen, Akali, Kennen and Zed receive reduced Energy costs.
Master Yi gains a 120% Ability Power ratio on Alpha Strike and a much larger Ability Power ratio on Meditate. Riot also fixes Diana’s incorrect mode modifier, which had changed damage reduction into increased damage taken.
Plan Wild Core spending after the patch
None of the champion, item, Dragon or lane changes requires a purchase. If a skin, bundle or Wild Pass upgrade is your separate goal, check its live in-game Wild Core cost first, then choose the amount that covers that exact spend. You can purchase League of Legends: Wild Rift (MY) Wild Cores for the cosmetic budget you have already set.
Buy Wild Cores for a Malaysia account
Before paying, confirm that the intended Malaysia Wild Rift account is signed in and copy the complete Riot ID in the Game Name#Tagline format from the profile screen. Package availability and in-game prices can change, so match the live store cost to the current SuprimX option instead of relying on an old screenshot.
When those details are correct, buy League of Legends: Wild Rift (MY) Wild Cores on SuprimX with your verified Riot ID.
