Wild Rift patch 7.2d increases Syndra's damage and gives Yuumi shorter cooldowns plus stronger Ability Power scaling on her shield. The important exception: Yuumi's rank-one Zoomies shield starts five points lower before Ability Power is counted.
This explainer covers every Syndra and Yuumi adjustment in Riot's 26 August 2026 announcement. It is a focused comparison, not the complete patch: the full Wild Rift 7.2d notes also cover other champions, items and AAA ARAM.
Syndra: all three changed abilities
Her damage gains come from both base values and Ability Power (AP) ratios. Scatter the Weak also becomes available more often.
Syndra
Read the slash-separated numbers in ability-rank order. No other Syndra ability change is listed in this patch.
Dark Sphere
- Base damage: 70/115/160/205 → 80/130/180/230.
Force of Will
- AP damage ratio: 45% → 60%.
Scatter the Weak
- Cooldown: 17 → 15 seconds.
- AP damage ratio: 35% → 50%.
Yuumi: cooldowns and shield scaling
Yuumi gets changes to both You and Me! and Zoomies. The shorter timers and higher scaling are separate from the shield's rank-dependent base adjustment.

Yuumi
These are the complete Yuumi changes in 7.2d; the shield calculation below separates the base and AP components.
You and Me!
- Cooldown: 10/5/0 → 8/4/0 seconds.
- Passive Heal and Shield Power: 6/7/8/9% → 8/9/10/11%.
Zoomies
- Cooldown: 10 → 9 seconds.
- Shield: 85/110/135/160 + 30% AP → 80/110/140/170 + 40% AP.
When is the new Zoomies shield stronger?
Subtracting the old formula from the new one gives a raw shield difference of −5/0/+5/+10 + 10% AP, in rank order. At rank one, the formulas are equal at 50 AP; below that, the new raw shield is smaller, and above it, larger.
For example, at 100 AP the old rank-one shield is 115 and the new one is 120. At rank two, any positive AP makes the new formula larger. At ranks three and four, the base values are already higher.
This is a calculation from the published formulas, not a measured in-game result. It excludes Heal and Shield Power and other modifiers, so it should not be read as the final shield received by an ally. It also does not measure the benefit of Zoomies' shorter cooldown.
Trying Syndra as a new mid-lane pick
The changes give you specific things to evaluate: Dark Sphere's base damage, the two stronger AP ratios and the shorter Scatter the Weak cooldown. They do not guarantee wins or make a purchase necessary.
Riot's Wild Cores guide confirms that champions can be bought with paid currency or obtained through currencies earned by playing. If you decide to unlock Syndra with Wild Cores, check her current in-game cost and your balance first, then buy League of Legends: Wild Rift (MY) Wild Cores for your Syndra unlock. Use the Malaysia option only for a matching account and check your Riot ID and Tagline before paying.
Keeping Yuumi as your support pick
If you already own Yuumi, her balance changes do not require another purchase. A skin is a separate appearance choice: Riot's skin guide explains that buying a skin does not include its champion.
After deciding to keep playing her, inspect the skin you actually want in the in-game store and confirm its price and availability. To fund that optional cosmetic choice, top up Wild Cores for your chosen Yuumi skin. A cosmetic purchase does not strengthen the shield or change any of the numbers above.
