VALORANT Patch 13.05: Pick’Ems, Agent Gear and Fixes

VALORANT Patch 13.05 is a smaller update centred on Champions Shanghai Pick’Ems, penalties for stream-sniping and instalock tools, changes coming to Agent Gear, and a broad set of bug fixes. Riot published the official patch notes on .

The most useful action point is not a balance change: Riot says Patch 13.06 will revise Agent Gear progression on 22 September. Existing gear stays on the account and Kingdom Credits remain the unlock currency, but future items will also depend on playing the associated Agent. Riot did not attach a time zone to that date, so Malaysian players should check the in-client notice instead of assuming a midnight MYT changeover.

PC practiceThe Range now offers 10, 5 or 1 bot, with 5 as the default.Choose the count in Range settings for the drill you want to run.

Champions Shanghai Pick’Ems open on 10 September

Pick’Ems return for the Champions Shanghai Group Stage on 10 September. Players can make predictions in the VALORANT client or on the web, score points for choosing advancing teams and gain extra points for predicting exact placements. Riot also confirms a reward for participating.

The submission window closes before Groups begin on 24 September. The patch notes do not state an opening hour, deadline hour or time zone, so Malaysia-based players should use the countdown shown in the client or Pick’Ems page. Pick’Ems participation and its reward do not require a VALORANT Points purchase.

Agent Gear changes arrive with Patch 13.06

Riot’s advance notice creates a practical choice for players who are collecting gear from Agents they seldom use. Patch 13.06 is listed for 22 September in the English notes. After that update, each item on an Agent’s progression track will be connected to time spent playing that Agent.

Already earned gear will remain unlocked, and Kingdom Credits will still be used for future gear. A sensible order is to finish the most important unlock for a rarely played Agent first, then leave items for regular picks until later. The notice does not say that Agent Gear will cost VP, so do not buy currency for this free progression task.

Combat fixes target smoke timing and Agent abilities

The largest cluster of fixes concerns cases where visual effects and ability states lasted too long or interacted incorrectly. Riot adjusted smoke dissipation timing for Astra, Brimstone, Clove, Miks and Omen so dissipating smokes no longer continue blocking flashes and other line-of-sight checks.

  • Cypher’s Trapwire debuff should no longer transfer indefinitely after its first target dies at the trigger moment.
  • Cypher’s Cyber Cage no longer incorrectly blocks flashes, detection and related line-of-sight abilities.
  • Omen’s Dark Cover should stop obscuring vision after the smoke disappears.
  • Waylay’s Saturate and Refract received fixes for Hinder application and lingering snapshots of dynamic objects.
  • Chamber’s first Headhunter equip, aim or shot should no longer cause the reported performance drop.
  • KAY/O’s NULL/cmd should no longer reduce client frame rate with every pulse.

Riot also corrected issues affecting Deadlock, Fade and Sage, plus inaccurate “Enemies Blinded” Combat Report entries and an Ultimate voice line that could continue after the caster died. Patch 13.05 does not announce Agent-stat, weapon-price or map-pool balance changes.

PC practice and the VP purchase-window fix

PC players can now set the Range to 10, 5 or 1 bot; the new default is 5. This makes it easier to switch between a busier warm-up and a single-target drill without using a workaround.

Riot also fixed a PC issue where the close button did not work after purchasing VALORANT Points. That note describes the button behaviour, not new VP pricing or a new bundle. If you already have a specific cosmetic purchase in mind, check its live VP cost and your balance first, then buy Valorant (Malaysia) VP on SuprimX after matching the amount to the item you chose.

Check your Riot ID and region before topping up

VALORANT purchases should be sent only to the intended account. Riot says an account’s region of residence affects its server and payment options, and provides an official region-of-residence check when the setting appears wrong. For the Malaysia product, confirm the account is the one you intend to fund before continuing.

Copy the full Riot ID as the Game Name plus Tagline, compare the available denomination with the live store cost, and review the order before payment. Once those details match, top up Valorant (Malaysia) VP on SuprimX with the correct Riot ID and Tagline.
