Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.1 launches Enchanted Wilds with Wisps, the returning Carousel and a new Unreal-based client, then adds two rounds of fixes dated August 27 and 28. For Malaysian mobile players, the practical checks are whether the device meets the updated requirements, whether a queue or loading issue has already been fixed, and whether a cosmetic or pass purchase is actually available on the correct Riot account. The current official Patch 18.1 notes contain the complete system, balance and hotfix record.
What changes in Enchanted Wilds
Patch 18.1 starts Set 18 while keeping Space Gods playable for several more patches. Its main set mechanic is Wisps: they appear in every other shop, can be purchased only during the planning phase and reveal a hidden unit after the phase ends. Wisp categories are colour-coded, and after Stage 5 every other Wisp is guaranteed to be a Combat Wisp.
- Carousel: returns and can contain more champions or higher-cost champions than usual.
- Targeting: units no longer automatically retarget after crowd control ends.
- PvE loot: missed loot from Stage 4-7 or later PvE rounds can carry into the next PvE round.
- Opening Encounters: several high-variance starts were removed and more standard item or reroll starts were added.
Mobile performance and launch limitations
Riot says the move from the Hextech engine to Unreal creates longer first-load times and temporary feature gaps. Patch 18.1 launched without the minimap, pings or friend spectating, and some cosmetic finishers are temporarily shown as videos on River Sprites while the catalogue is rebuilt.
The notes also warn that Patch 18.1 is a larger-than-normal download. Malaysian mobile players should update on a stable connection, allow extra time for the first load and avoid assuming a long loading screen is a crash. Riot's August 28 update added a loading spinner, changed default quality settings on some lower-performing devices and fixed several mobile update, queue and performance problems.
August 27 and 28 fixes
The first hotfix corrected memory leaks, incorrect ranked placements, matchmaking repetition, audio problems and several untranslated cosmetic labels. It also improved Performance Mode for lower-spec devices.
On August 28, Double Up was re-enabled after a temporary shutdown, and an exploit involving permanent traded items was fixed. Riot also disabled the Forge A Friend Augment temporarily because it did not reliably grant a three-star unit. These dated additions matter when troubleshooting: restart the client and install the latest update before treating an older launch issue as current.
Victorious Lumie and cosmetic availability
Players who reached Gold or higher in Space Gods Ranked or Double Up are eligible for Victorious Lumie. The launch notes also provide a long list of arenas, booms and Tacticians available after the Unreal migration, while warning that more cosmetics will return over later patches.

If a previously owned cosmetic is absent, the notes say catalogue migration is still in progress. That is not evidence that the item must be purchased again.
Malaysia TFT Coin purchase check
Patch 18.1 does not publish TFT Coin prices for a pass, arena or Tactician. Open the live mobile store first, confirm the exact item and price, subtract the coins already on the account, and check that the Riot ID belongs to the intended Malaysia account before buying anything.
SuprimX registers Teamfight Tactics Mobile (MY) TFT Coin top-up as a Malaysia product requiring a Riot ID in Game Name plus Tagline format. Use that route only for a verified live shortfall; the new set, the free hotfixes and the Victorious Lumie eligibility reward do not require a purchase.
