Marvel Rivals’ August 13, 2026 update adds Rivals’ Summer Finale ’26 events, new summer cosmetics, a Storm bundle and the return of Lady Loki. The patch was scheduled for 5pm Malaysia time (MYT), with no server downtime: players only needed to download the update.
The official Version 20260813 patch notes, dated August 12, also detail Lady Loki’s new animations, Jeff’s swimming animation and fixes affecting Iron Fist, Rogue and account settings. All times below are converted from the announcement’s UTC timestamps to MYT, which is UTC+8.
New store cosmetics and bundle dates
Two bundles have explicit availability windows. These are the dates announced for this update, not a promise that either bundle remains in the current store rotation.
- Storm — Sacred Skies Bundle: August 13 at 5pm to September 11 at 5pm MYT.
- Loki — Lady Loki Bundle: August 13 at 5pm to August 28 at 10am MYT.
The following additions were announced as available from August 13 at 5pm MYT, without individual end dates in these notes:
- Magik — Soul Surfer: Blue Breaker and Sunset Surf chromas, Ultimate Ability VFX and customizable parts.
- Scarlet Witch — Seaside Sorceress: Pitch Petal and Purple Petal chromas, Ultimate Ability VFX and customizable parts.
- Storm — Sacred Skies: Crimson Clouds chroma and customizable parts.
- Black Cat — Coastal Cat: Pearl Paws and Golden Claws chromas.
- Winter Soldier — Summer Soldier: Chill Current chroma.
- Star-Lord — Star Swimmer: Stellar Splash chroma.
- Black Widow — Aquatic Assassin: Ultimate Ability VFX.
- The Thing: Life is But a Dream emote.
- Devil Dinosaur: Best Buddies emote.
Before buying a chroma or effect, check its current item page for availability, required currency, price and any required costume ownership. The announcement does not give those purchase conditions or prices. If you have chosen an available Soul Surfer or Seaside Sorceress variant, confirmed its Lattice exchange option in the client and need more currency, top up Marvel Rivals Lattice for your chosen summer chroma on SuprimX. The top-up adds currency; it does not purchase or unlock the selected cosmetic automatically.
Rivals’ Summer Finale ’26: three events
Krakoan Reels Vol. 2, Summer Snapshot and Pop & Win share the announced window of August 13 at 5pm to September 24 at 5pm MYT. They offer different activities and rewards, so check the relevant event screen rather than treating them as one purchase.
Krakoan Reels Vol. 2
The fishing event adds new catches and rewards, including Black Cat’s Coastal Cat, Winter Soldier’s Summer Soldier and Star-Lord’s Star Swimmer costumes. The developers also tease an unnamed creature among the catches.
The patch notes do not explain the complete acquisition costs, chances or guarantees. Check the event’s rules before committing currency; the presence of a costume in the reward list does not establish that every player can claim it free.
Summer Snapshot: claim 100 Units before budgeting
Summer Snapshot adds beach photo spots. Take a snapshot and share it to receive 100 Units, whether posing alone or with other players. The announced reward task does not require a top-up.
Units and Lattice are different currencies. The developers’ monetization explanation states that Lattice can be exchanged for Units at a 1:1 ratio, while some Units can be earned through play. If a cosmetic you want is priced in Units, claim the Snapshot reward and check your existing balance before calculating a shortfall.
Only if you still want that cosmetic after checking its current price, buy the remaining Lattice after your Summer Snapshot reward through SuprimX’s Marvel Rivals top-up. Choose a denomination against the remaining amount you need, rather than budgeting as though the 100 Units were unavailable.
Pop & Win
Magik’s Soul Surfer and Scarlet Witch’s Seaside Sorceress are the featured costumes. The announcement describes a chance to obtain them at a discounted price, but gives no discount amount, probability or guaranteed total cost. Read the live event terms before spending; a chance-based offer is not the same as a fixed-price costume purchase.
Lady Loki animations and Jeff’s swimming
Lady Loki receives a dedicated set of movement and combat animations, enabled by default for all Lady Loki costumes. To return to the classic animations, open the Costume interface and use the small gear icon beside Equip. Existing owners can change this setting without repurchasing the costume.
Jeff the Land Shark automatically switches to a swimming animation when entering deep water at Hellfire Bay Beach. The notes describe an animation change, not a new combat ability or a purchasable swimming feature.
Fixes and optimizations
The update lists two hero fixes followed by four other improvements:
- Iron Fist: using Yat Jee Chung Kuen during his Ultimate Ability no longer causes the reported abnormal displacement.
- Rogue: stealing certain heroes’ abilities no longer produces the reported incorrect text in the in-match ability-description panel.
- Accessibility settings: fixes a problem that prevented some preferences from being saved to the player’s account.
- Moving emotes: fixes Iron Fist’s Kickflip Cruise, Jeff’s Merc’s March and Ultron’s Breaking the Strings being unusable while moving in non-combat areas.
- Iron Fist’s Furious Flow: fixes its Ultimate Ability VFX being overwritten by White Fox Team-Up effects.
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier screenings: adds English and Chinese subtitles to the highlights.
Check the receiving character before topping up
SuprimX’s Marvel Rivals top-up uses your Marvel Rivals UID. Open the game on the character you intend to use, select the profile avatar at the top right and copy that UID before paying. This is an in-game currency purchase, not a PlayStation wallet card or a platform-account transfer.
If you use linked accounts, the official cross-progression Q&A explains that you choose a primary character and that data from separate characters is not merged. Confirm that the UID belongs to the character whose costumes and balance you are checking. Being in Malaysia, or logging in through a different platform, does not by itself establish which character should receive the currency.
