League of Legends Patch 26.17 was published on August 25, 2026 with targeted Summoner's Rift balance changes, major League Classic progression updates and three new skins arriving August 26. The official Patch 26.17 notes provide the complete values; this guide highlights the changes that most affect queue choices and a Malaysian player's RP decision.
Modern Summoner's Rift receives buffs for several scaling carries alongside checks on strong top and jungle picks. League Classic gets the broader system change: faster progression, two free rune pages, champion and pick-order swapping, and its first Council vote.
Modern Summoner's Rift changes that matter
Aurelion Sol's Breath of Light costs less mana per second and Astral Flight reaches a 14-second cooldown at rank five. Irelia's Bladesurge total AD ratio rises from 70% to 80%, while Qiyana gains higher base and bonus-AD damage on Elemental Wrath but a lower monster modifier.
Nasus loses lifesteal at all passive breakpoints, Nocturne loses 2 Armor and 15 base Health, and Graves receives lower bonus-AD ratios on both parts of End of the Line. Thresh's Flay active also loses base damage and AP scaling. Sundered Sky is reduced again, while Stormrazor receives changes intended to reopen build options.

League Classic progression and champion select
Classic players receive two additional rune pages for free. Influence Points earned per game more than double, Classic XP doubles, and Quintessence and minor-rune IP prices are reduced. Champion and pick-order swapping now work during champion select, while lanes remain assigned.
The inaugural Council vote also goes live in the client. Innervating Locket becomes cheaper and stronger, while Wriggle's Lantern and Feral Flare shift from Attack Damage to Attack Speed without changing their 2,000-gold total build cost.
These are gameplay and progression changes, not RP purchases. The extra rune pages are explicitly free and should not be used as a reason to top up.
ARAM Mayhem and Arena changes
ARAM: Mayhem adds Ultra Hydra and Upgrade Death's Dance while retuning several augments. Arena continues to adjust champion, item and augment outliers, and Riot says future Arena balance updates will target alternating patches, generally the odd-numbered League patches.
The macOS minimum and recommended system requirements were also updated. Players on Mac should check the current support specification before treating a performance problem as a balance or account issue.
New Patch 26.17 skins and chromas
Heartsong Seraphine, Ocean Song Soraka and Ocean Song Jinx were announced for August 26, 2026. Patch 26.17 also includes chromas for all three skin releases.
The patch notes do not state Malaysia RP prices or guarantee that every cosmetic is visible on every account immediately. Open the live client, confirm the chosen skin or chroma and its RP cost, then compare it with the existing RP balance.
